Wind River to Exhibit Cloud Compute Applications at the Upcoming Mobile World Congress

Continually setting the pace by providing IoT software to crucial infrastructure, Wind River is set to showcase its edge cloud technologies to several partners at the Mobile World Congress to be held soon. The partners will be coming from across the Wind River Titanium cloud ecosystem running from February 26-28. More precisely, the partners’ booths will be leveraged on to showcase the Wind River Titanium Cloud virtualization platform.

The point of the various partnerships for the collaboration of companies recognized as industry leaders in terms of hardware and software. The Titanium Cloud System helps ensure that there is availability of interoperable standard products which are optimally scaled for NFV deployment, using Titanium Cloud to help in improving the period to market for telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) and service providers alike. The Titanium Cloud ecosystem program currently has over 50 listed members.

The expected demonstrations with several partners in the ecosystem include:

Leveno: The plan here is to combine technologies from Lenovo as well as WiZR AI-enabled video analytics coupled with Wind River Titanium Cloud to give a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) demonstration that showcases ways in which Lenovo’s edge servers can assist in monetizing network assets and accelerating time to revenue. Kontron: Here, Titanium Cloud in combination with Kontron’s commercial-off-the-shelf hardware platforms serves well to demonstrate how a branch office deployment can be carried out in a more flexible, easier yet cost-effective, secure and reliable way. (Demo location: Kontron booth Hall 5 Stand 5H41).

Blue Planet: Blue Planet is a division of Ciena. This involves the exhibition of 5G automation and orchestration. This demo is basically a feature of Blue Planet multi-domain service orchestration from Ciena, CDN technologies, edge cloud infrastructure from Titanium Cloud and a data center that runs vEPC technology to achieve an end-to-end 5G environment. These are only few of the several partners to take part in the demonstration at the event. Other partners include Mavenir, RIFT, Amdocs, Sandvine and Altiostar. In addition to all these stands, Wind River meeting room will also have its a demonstration made available.
